Shipping and delivery

Last updated: August 2026

Every piece leaves the Reggio Calabria boutique packed by hand. Here you will find the delivery methods, what to do when the courier arrives and how the pieces of a list are delivered.

1. Methods and costs

MethodTime and cost
White-glove Southern ItalyDedicated delivery in 7 days · free
National standard3–5 working days · € 24
Collection at the Reggio Calabria boutiqueWe write to you when it is ready to collect · free
Europe premium DHL5–8 days · from € 80

The method is chosen when you place the order and the cost, where due, appears in the summary before payment. For destinations outside the European Union write to us at shop@scopelliti1887.com: we will prepare a dedicated quotation.

2. The pieces of a list

The pieces of a list are delivered to the recipients, not to whoever gave them, and delivery is agreed with them when the list closes: some prefer to receive them after the event, others collect them at the boutique. The atelier guides them through the choice. Whoever took part receives confirmation of their gift by email, not a parcel.

3. When we ship

Pieces available at the boutique leave as soon as payment is confirmed. Some pieces from the maisons we represent are decorated or painted by hand and are requested from the manufacturer: in that case the times are longer and we tell you beforehand. You will receive an email on the day of shipment.

4. Couriers and packing

We rely on international couriers, chosen according to the destination and the size of the parcel. Crystal, porcelain and silverware travel in packaging prepared for them. Unless otherwise agreed, delivery is understood to be at street level.

5. On delivery: what we ask you to do

Check the parcel before signing. If the packaging shows signs of impact or tampering you have the right to open it in front of the courier and check the contents. If there is damage you may refuse the goods, or sign noting your reservation with the date and the reason.

A signature without reservations makes a claim for transport damage far harder. If you notice it afterwards, write to us straight away at shop@scopelliti1887.com: we will look for a solution all the same, as described in Right of Withdrawal and Returns.

6. Customs and duties outside the European Union

Shipments to non-EU countries travel with the invoice declaring the value of the goods, as customs rules require, and are exempt from Italian VAT. Import duties and taxes of the destination country are payable by the recipient.

7. Delays and force majeure

Incomplete addresses, strikes, natural events, measures taken by the authorities and other causes beyond our control may delay a delivery: you will be told as soon as we know. If the cause lasts more than two months, either party may terminate the contract and every amount paid is returned to you.

8. If you would like to talk it through

The boutique answers on +39 0965 374441 and on WhatsApp at +39 391 345 6441, during Monday–Saturday · 9:00–20:00. The full terms of purchase are in Terms of Sale.
