Right of withdrawal and returns

1. The right

If you bought as a consumer you may withdraw from the contract within fourteen days, without giving a reason and without penalty. Withdrawal is not available to those who bought as traders, unless otherwise agreed with us.

2. When the fourteen days start

For the purchase of a piece, the period runs from the day on which you — or the person you indicated, other than the carrier — physically receive the goods. If the order comprises several pieces delivered separately, from the last one to arrive.

If you took part in a list, the goods are delivered to the recipients and not to you: in that case the period runs from delivery to the recipients. If you would rather not wait, you may notify us of your withdrawal from the day of payment.

3. How to exercise it

An explicit statement is enough, sent before the fourteen days expire. You can write to us at shop@scopelliti1887.com or by post to Scopelliti 1887 S.r.l., Via Fata Morgana 52, 89125 Reggio Calabria (RC). Please give your name, the order number and, if the purchase concerned a list, the name of the recipients. No particular form is required, but we can send you one if you prefer.

4. Returning the goods

Contact us and we will arrange collection by courier: all you need to do is put the address Scopelliti 1887 S.r.l., Via Fata Morgana 52, 89125 Reggio Calabria (RC) on the parcel. The direct cost of returning the goods shall be borne by you. The goods must be returned intact and complete with every accessory, packaging and document: you are liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

5. The refund

We refund every amount you paid, including standard delivery costs, within fourteen days of receiving your notice of withdrawal. If you had chosen a delivery more expensive than the standard one, the difference shall be borne by you. The refund is made using the same means of payment you used, at no cost to you, and we may withhold it until we receive the goods or proof that you have sent them back.

6. When withdrawal does not apply

By law, withdrawal is not available on:

• goods personalised at your request — for example a piece with engraving, a monogram or a dedicated decoration;
• goods liable to deteriorate rapidly by their nature;
• sealed goods which are not suitable for return for reasons of hygiene, once opened.

7. If the piece arrives damaged or faulty

This is not a case of withdrawal, and it is simpler: write to us and we will replace the piece or refund the amount. Goods bought by a consumer also carry the two-year legal guarantee of conformity from delivery. What to do at the moment of delivery is described in Shipping and Delivery.

8. List shares that are not completed

If the shares collected on a piece do not cover its price when the list closes, the amount is retained and the recipients use it with the maison: this is set out at point 9 of the Terms of Sale. It neither removes nor shortens the right of withdrawal described on this page.
